After a few minutes break, you will be on your way to Hpa An, the capital of Karen State, Myanmar. After refreshment at hotel, visit KYAUNKAMLAB STUPA, also called water lake monastery, and then, visit LUMBINI GARDEN at the base of Mount Zwekabin. There are 1,000 Gantgaw trees with same style Buddha statues. Finally, stroll around Hpa-An town, and sunset at SHWE YIN MYAW PAGODA situated at the bank of Than Lwin River. Breakfast at Hotel, today enjoy the early morning sun scenery from the TOWN HALL area and explore the colorful central market. And next visit KAWGUN CAVE, located near Kawgun Village, which is 2 miles outside Hpa-An township. It is a natural limestone cave 200 ft. high and 300 ft. long. The rock face near the entrance is profusely decorated with different kinds of clay Buddha images that date back to the 15th century A.D. Hanthawaddy period. And then, visit famous BAYINT NYI NAUNG GU, the natural limestone cave containing hot springs and which draws visitors from the nearby area for their reputed healing powers. The springs are divided into three pools, one for monks, one for men and one for women. En route, SHWE SAR YAN PAGODA at Thaton. Afterward, drive to Kyaikhtiyoe, a small pagoda significant in size but unique for its position. The rock is completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of the cliff. Arrive at the base camp and proceed to the end station by open light truck about an hour mountain drive. Upon arrival take a light trekking up to the Hotel for check in .After refreshments proceed to Golden Rock along the twisting footpath through bamboo forest. This morning after breakfast , we are to leave early and take the long drive to Nay Pyidaw (pronounced ‘Naypiddaw’, meaning ‘Abode of Kings’, and sometimes abbreviated to NPT) has been the capital of Myanmar since 2005. We will make some stops on the way to enjoy the scenery and do some sightseeing.Upon arrival to Naypyidaw, visit Uppatasanti Pagoda. Then drive to your hotel for check in. Today we will head off to Mandalay Established in 1857, Mandalay is the second largest city in Myanmar. It is found in the upper part of the country, located on the east bank of the Irrawaddy River. Mandalay is where the Royal Palace of the Konbaung Dynasty is located, which was the last monarchy and independent kingdom of Burma. In 1886, present day Myanmar was conquered by British colonial forces. Ratanapunja was the ancient name of the city. It was given the name 'Mandalay' based on the 236-metre high Mandalay Hill, which is currently one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city Shwenandaw Monastery, an ancient wooden building with intricate carvings. Then, you will see the ‘world’s largest book’, the Buddhist Scriptures inscribed on marble slabs, at Kuthodaw Pagoda. After that visit the gold leaf making workshop and continue to Mahamuni Pagoda, home to Mandalay’s holiest Buddha statue, whereas you can see the stone-carving or the street of stone sculptors . then A short drive will bring you to the temples and small pagodas of the former ancient capital Amarapura (Sanscrit for “Beautiful town“). Today after breakfast, we are moving to Bagan Bagan is one of the world’s greatest archaeological sites. Visit this amazing historical town hosting more than 2,200 temples big and small. Set amongst thick greenery on the Ayeyarwady river basin with misty mountains at a distance, Bagan will surely enchant you with its mystical appearance. The temples rise above the canopy of trees, presenting a picture-perfect scenery to visitors. On the way , we will pass the untouched local villages and countryside’s of Myanmar and stop at village cottage industry to learn the regional product as well as to watch the collection of juice from the palm trees, and its conversion to brown sugar.
Upon arrival to Bagan, we will continue exploring the best of Bagan including Shwezigon Pagoda (golden sandbank), Bagan’s greatest reliquary, an ancient temple complex that set the style of Burmese pagodas for a thousand years.After that, head to Ananda Temple which is considered to be one of the most surviving masterpiece of the Mon architecture. This site is also known as the finest, largest, best preserved and most revered of the Bagan temples.Then We continue to visit Dhammayangyi Temple - one of massive temples in Bagan. It was built in 12th century by Narathu King. It is infamous for its mysterious, bricked-up inner passageways and cruel history. Afterwards, drive Myinkabar Village to visit a lacquerware workshop - one of Myanmar's most treasured handicrafts. Then continue to explore Manuha Temple, which was built in the Mon style in 1059 and follow on to Nanbaya Temple, a unique sandstone monument said to have been the palace of King Manuha.Next, we drive to visit Gu Byauk Gyi Temple, a Mon-style temple renowned for well-preserved frescoes on its interior walls, the oldest original paintings to be found in Bagan. It is safe to drive in Myanmar but driving in Myanmar is a challenging and undertaking compared to driving in well developed country like Europe . Local driving standards are poor because many drivers in countryside are not trained and do not adhere to normal road rules. Local vehicles are not well maintained, may have bald tyre and many would not be roadworthy by the standards of your own country. Roads in some remote areas of country often are potholed, broken up or are only gravel and dirt.
Drivers must be a minimum of 21 years of age. We expect you to be a confident and competent driver, with plenty of driving experience. You should normally have held your driver’s license for a minimum of two years. Please also note that all of our expeditions may include sections of gravel or dirt roads .We never travel off road; it is simply that there may be some sections where the road is not paved.
Yes you can! However, if you are bringing your own vehicle, it must be pre-approved by us to ensure that is suitable for your chosen Expedition. Also, you must be the legal owner of the vehicle or have written authority from the vehicle owner, with the requisite paperwork showing ownership. You must also ensure that your vehicle has appropriate luggage space that is capable of carrying your personal belongings for the whole journey.

If you are bringing your foreign registered vehicle, you also need to submit below documents along with the above. Ministry of Tourism , Custom and Road Transport Department may ask for more documents during the application.

Clients are to be aware of the following information.
For Border Crossing Tour : Licensed Tour Guide must be taken and used by clients . That is mandatory . Without local registered guide throughout the trip , permission approval will not be issued by Government Authority Concerned .
Arranging the escorted vehicle from Myanmar to escort the group is not compulsory : But Taking or arranging the escorted vehicle form Myanmar to join the big group size is advisable ( But the trip cost will be slightly going high ) .
If the escorted vehicle from Myanmar is not used and arranged upon client’s decision , Client must share one seat of their vehicle for local guide to sit throughout the trip .
It is a pre-condition for booking that you have comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for driving a vehicle of the appropriate engine size. If you cannot prove that you have insurance, you will not be allowed on an expedition. You must ensure that you have a policy designed for adventure travel that will cover you for personal accident, medical and repatriation costs, loss, damage and theft of personal belongings and for cancellation or curtailment
Myanmar Border Cross Tour will take minimum three weeks to get the permission approval from Government Authorities Concerned .
Entry clearance may varies, it usually takes about 10-15 minutes. However, there are a few cases when the entry clearance took up to a few hours. Exit clearance are usually quicker. For entry clearance with MTT permission at China or India borders, the assisting guide will present all the paper work to the border port in advanced before your planned arrival time
We suggest that you arrive as early as possible at the border port, between 8:30 and 9:30 AM.
Our trips are arranged on a twin share basis with the option to book a single room for sole use. If you are travelling as a couple or pair of friends/family, you will have the choice of a twin room (two single beds in one room) or a double room (one big bed in the room). If you are a solo traveler and happy to share then you will be paired up with another solo traveler of the same sex in a twin room. Alternatively, you can pay the single supplement and have a single room to yourself. Depending on the destination a single room could have a single bed or a double bed for sole occupancy.

A first deposit of 10% of tour value per person by bank transfer or online payment is required upon confirmation of your booking 90 days prior to tour departure date Once deposit is received it is understood that you have read, understood and accepted all our terms and conditions.
– A second deposit of 30% of tour value person per person is required minimum 70 days prior to tour departure date.
If The minimum number of people in the group is not reached, this deposit will be returned in full.
– A final balance payment of 60% of tour value per person is to be settled 45 days prior to tour departure date.

– Bookings made within 70 days of scheduled departure require deposit of 40% of tour valued per person upon confirmation of your booking .
– Bookings made within 45 days of scheduled departure require full payment upon confirmation of your booking .

To offer the lowest possible cost, our trips are tier priced according to the number of full-paying participants on the trip. All costs are per person, based on double occupancy. If you wish to have a single room, you must pay the single supplement fee. On many trips, if you are willing to share accommodations, we will try to match you with a roommate if one is available. If we cannot match you with a roommate, the “forced single supplement” is listed if applicable.
Cancellation to a booking
– If you need to cancel your booking, please inform Myanmar Border Cross Tour via email.
– If you are holding a booking without notifying us your desire to cancel, for which travel documents have been issued, this will be considered and treated as a “No Show ”. You will be charged all the payment.

– The date of cancellation shall be deemed to be the date (Monday – Friday) on which the written notification is received in the Myanmar Border Cross Tour offices which issued the confirmation.
